hailey was my first friend at university in the redwoods of northern california. I adored this born and raised maui girl, and a year later I found myself on a plane to visit her for a month — exploring the island… barefoot and free 18 year olds. I thank hailey for introducing me to this special place I call home.

we spent the afternoon in kula, hawaii —  hailey and sean’s home, where the air is crisp and the view of the island is expansive and beautiful. feeding the goats, playing with zed & penny (rescue pups). cuddles. and a sunset motorcycle ride around the hood. not pictured, their new kitten: kimchi peaches. upcountry livin’ is glorious.
