Kona Village – A Rosewood Resort

Kona Village Resort is a secluded oasis that invites guests to experience the untouched beauty and rich cultural heritage of Hawaii’s Big Island. Set along a pristine stretch of the Kona coast, this resort is designed to harmonize with its natural surroundings, featuring thatched-roof bungalows scattered across 81 acres of lava fields and lush lagoons. With no TVs or phones in the rooms, Kona Village encourages true disconnection from the outside world, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the energy of the island.

Getting Married at Kona Village on the Big Island

Kona Village offers a truly one-of-a-kind setting for couples seeking an unforgettable wedding experience, with its natural elegance and serene atmosphere. From traditional Hawaiian ceremonies featuring flower leis, ukulele music, and pū or conch shell blessings, to more personalized modern celebrations, your wedding team will work to craft a day that reflects your love story.

Guests can stay in charming, thatched-roof bungalows, and enjoy the resort’s world-class amenities, ensuring that the celebration is both luxurious and deeply connected to the island. Or for a an elopement, enjoy the privacy of the spacious resort and mesmerizing coastline. Whether an intimate elopement or a grand affair, photographing at Kona Village is always stunning, and one of my favorite venues on the island.

K&J’s elopement day was photographed both on digital and with film by Cadencia Weddings, capturing the depth of the intimate celebration. J has been coming to Kona Village for over 30 years, and it was special to return after the renovation and to get married to the love of his life. Kassi Bissman Beauty created an effortless make up look, that was perfect for the barefoot ceremony. Richard Adoradio officiated the private ceremony, and BTS Dulhan captured the behind the scenes content. A Chanel perfume mixed with the salty air, and Hermes shoes slipped on for the ocean side dinner for two. Uhiuhi Flower House adorned the bungalow and beach with a plethora of bright, feminine blooms.
