when I got an email from sequoia emmanuel asking for her to do a shoot with her and man, I was so excited. why? because I own her gorgeous coffee table book! she is a photographer as well, and I’ve known her of her work for a number of years. sequoia’s art is bright and colorful — intricate environments she weaves together with her background in set design, costuming and painting. I was like, waaaah you’re interested in my dark and grainy vibe? but hell yes! opposites attract. and it was a joy to meet this talented babe in person.

as the sun went down, sequoia and jabob put on their original wedding outfits with a new energy, a black veil and gothic accents. even though they’ve been married for years, they had a spontaneous vow renewal to celebrate their love.
