Big Island Elopement Location Guide

Here are some of our favorite locations for your Big Island Elopement.
Kehena Beach
Located in the Puna moku of the island. Kehena is a black sand beach with a steep trail that leads down to the sand. The swell is often large at this location, and Sunday’s there is a big drum circle and crowds. Weekdays are best for this location!
Punalu’u Beach
Located in Ka’ū in between Na’alehu and Volcano. This beach is lined with coconut trees and often has turtles on the shoreline. Read more about an elopement in Punalu’u here.
Kona Cloud Forest
Kona Cloud Forest is a reforested and preserved lush cloud forest ecosystem situated on the Kona side of Hawai’i island. This location is 20 minutes from stunning sunset beach locations, so you can have the best of both worlds on your elopement day.
